It is quite easy to answer really, affiliate marketing is like any other job you might do and it is the same reason the same people tend to fail at everything they try and it boils down to several main things.

1. They tend to overextend themselves. So rather than concentrating on one thing, they try to do too many things. When you are working on four or five different things very often you never finish any of them. Much better to concentrate on one and when that is finished move onto the next item and so on.

2. They start something and when they don?t see a result within a very short time frame they give up and move onto the next thing. When that doesn?t give the results they move on again and repeat the process.

3. They have no consistency. Consistency is the key to being good at all things. Most sports men and women train on a regular basis. This makes them better at their sport. As an affiliate marketer you have to have that regime. It is no good submitting five articles at the beginning of a week and then never submitting any more. It is much better to submit an article a day or even set a schedule of two or three a week, after all once a year has passed then you will have fifty to a hundred articles online.

4. Jumping onto hot trends and not understanding your market. Too many marketers will follow the latest weight loss fad or teeth whitening product. It is much better to find a product or market that you are initially interested in and work on that. Once you have some success in that market you will be much better placed to work on products you don?t know.

5. They get distracted easily. It is extremely easy to read another sales page on how someone made thousands overnight with the latest search engine zapping tool and before you know it you have signed up to their newsletter. This invariably leads to a whole raft of emails promising the next best thing and promoting other products. Before you know it you have clicked another link and have another newsletter. Consign all those get rich scheme emails to the spam folder or unsubscribe if you can.

6. They fail to take action. It is easy to see the next product and assume someone else will have filled that gap, so they don?t get moving and the opportunity passes them buy. Get your self motivated and take an action now. However small it is it doesn?t matter as long as you do something. By taking action you will be moving yourself forward and that ultimately is the direction you have to be going in.
